This topic is to inform people about recovery gear. Tools and equipment needed to recover your rig if it happens to get stuck, ARB sells a kit (shown above) however you can make your own kit for a lot less and suited more for your needs.
Just like the boy-scouts, always be prepared for any situation. Mandatory in all recovery gear should be Tow Straps, ranging from 10000lbs and over. These come in various lengths, you need minimum 20′ recommended 30′ long.
Next to go with your straps you will need D-Rings or Shackles. These will anchor your strap to your rig to another vehicle or obstacle. Nominal size shackle to have is 3/4″
These 2 should be the first items you store in your Jeep or Rig for any off-roading. These are very basic items, my next write up I will include some more advanced equipment.

The yearly Father’s Day Event at Ste. Anne’s Hospital, which ORA participates in by bringing our modified Jeeps out to a mini Show & Shine for the Veterans is going to be held on June 21st, 2015. Please try to be there for 11:30AM.
Please wear your ORA shirt or hat to show your support and a clean Jeep!
Trail run to Weir, QC this coming Saturday, June 13th, 2015.
Meet-up at ESSO gas station, Exit 60, at 9:15am in the parking lot. Please gas up and be ready to hit the road. We will leave by 9:30am as a group to Weir where we will air-down and disconnect.
Please bring appropriate apparel, boots, gloves, safety goggles, bring a lunch and plenty of water and of course all the recovery gear and tools for cutting branches, trees and such.
